How can you
help us?
First thank yourself for being willing to participate. Sharing a story helps us tremendously.
It’s not hard, all you need is a little patience and follow the following steps.
If you want to understand the types of stories we share, you can see them on SPOTIFY in the podcast sections, TE CUENTO LUGANO.
The ways you can help are:
A) Narrating a story, your own or one you read. Poems are also welcome! You simply record it on an audio message on whatsapp and you send it to us.
What types of stories?
Your favorite, or the favorite of your children, those that they ask you to tell them time and again!
For what ages?
- For children between 2 and 10 years old. Although recently we realized that our stories are for the curious ranging from 0 to 99. And the grandparents that record stories are asking us to receive and listen to stories and poems from other volunteers.
- Stories for Adults.
How do I record a story?
Either use the WhatsApp audio feature, or use a voice memo and attach to a whatsapp message. The story should not be longer than 15 minutes ... if it is, you can record in two parts. The task is, tell us one of your favorite stories and when you record the audio, make a brief introduction about who you are and why you chose this story.
You can record a WhatsApp audio or if you prefer in one of these applications: Voice Recorder or Voice Memo.
Don’t forget that when you send it to us to tell us who is telling the story, who the author is, where you are sending it from, and anything else you want to tell us… to fill up our catalog of stores.
To publish your story you should include at the beginning:
Name of the story:
Author:
Narrated By:
Your Age:
Where you are located:
Once you have recorded the story, you simply send it to us by WhatsApp to Cel: +5491167036667.
B) Another way to help is by connecting us to social organizations that work with children or grandparents. If you believe that they would benefit from receiving our stories, take the initiative and connect us.
Who are we already Working with?
In the TOBA neighborhood of Rosario, the loving Mabel opens the doors of her patio to give afternoon snacks to 60 TOBA children. “Tere” is an incredible promoter of Stories for Peace, brings our stories to the children, respecting social distancing. We donated a speaker so that the children can listen together. This has only just begun so soon you will see their drawings we are awaiting that they share stories from their TOBA history and culture. Thank you Rocio and Tere for this beautiful initiative to CONTRIBUTE + CONNECT + JOIN
Soon an organization, the Grandparents of Spain, will begin to receive our stories as well.
